Chastity D. Gaither is the CEO and Senior Consultant of Core Elements Business Management Consulting Group and the Founder & Executive Director of Core Elements Higher Education Resource Center.
She has over 15 years experience in the field of higher education inclusive of professional development training, program implementation, and curriculum design. Chastity is a trained researcher who has a stellar reputation for bringing theory into practice. As such, she has hosted international consulting engagements in Indonesia and South Africa.
Prior to Core Elements, Chastity worked at Wayne County Community College District for 11 years. At WCCCD she held multiple positions including Campus Dean and Associate Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance. In her role as Campus Dean, she had oversight of the campus students service division. In her role as Associate Vice Chancellor, Chastity successfully managed a $70 million financial aid budget. Moreover, she worked extensively to research, update, and implement policy/ procedures reflective of federal regulations, ensuring the overall integrity of the institution’s Title IV funding.
Currently, Chastity is a Ph.D. student in the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education program at Michigan State University. Her research interests include the study of higher education, student affairs and college matriculation, college readiness, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.
Ms. Gaither holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing as well as a MBA in Management Information Systems with an Accounting Specialty from Davenport University respectively. Additionally, she holds a Master of Science degree in Higher Education from Drexel University.
